Event Expo: A Hit Since 2007
Event Expo was conceived by Hank Frisch, president of Team Promotions, and Rick Turner, Account Executive for Extraordinary Events. The first Event Expo took place on April 25th, 2007 at The Forum in Cleveland. The show sold out and was an immediate success. Event Expo 2007 featured over 60 exhibitors and 500 Northeast Ohio meeting and event planners.
Event Expo 2008 featured over 80 exhibitors and over 800 attendees and 2009’s Expo just edged that out. Each year has shown increased attendance from Exhibitors and Attendees. Exhibitors include some of the top companies and venues in Northeast Ohio including: The Ritz Carlton, Hyatt Regency, Rock Hall, Cleveland Cavaliers, Event Source and more.
Event Expo 2018 is in the largest footprint to date at 32,000 SF at the Huntington Convention Center in Cleveland. Rick Turner, with his new Trifecta Agency partners, Char Glatley & Mary Kline, are expanding the outreach throughout the United States.

Meet Trifecta’s core team members
For the past 25 years, Char has organized, created and implemented event strategies, planning and fundraising for for-profit and non-profits. Ranging from 10,000 participants to intimate groups of 10, she has assisted in the development of clients’ event strategies, coordinated the logistics, negotiated the contracts, and implemented successful events. Char has personally developed proprietary strategies to make every event a success by targeting fundamental initiatives that ultimately address net profit, awareness, and overall visibility.
For the past 20 years, Mary has organized and implemented catering sales for Northeast Ohio’s premier catering companies. Selling over $1 million in sales per year, Mary is the leading catering event planner in Cleveland. Starting with the first meeting to the end of the event, Mary’s attention to detail is matched to her amazing customer service. Ranging from 2000 attendees to an intimate group of 10, she handles every aspect and challenge with grace and a smile.
Rick Turner has spent the past 20 years working in various roles within the Hospitality, Culinary and Special Events industries. His award-winning work has been featured in numerous industry publications and websites, and he is a featured speaker on industry trends, business ethics and creative strategies all over the world. Rick is very involved with a number of civic and industry associations including MPI, ILEA, PCMA, SEPA, and has recently served consecutive two-year terms as President of the Cleveland Chapter of HSMAI. His passion for the industry is best represented by his involvement with the SEARCH Foundation. Rick currently serves on the SEARCH Board, and works to make the industry aware of how SEARCH strives to “Assist Event Professionals in Crisis”.
